Gorilla Mist Camp

I spent two lovely nights here. The grounds are beautifully kept and full of flowers, and the small thatched-roof lodges have a lot of charm. The bedding was excellent. Everything felt calm and gentle, and we received a warm welcome from very attentive staff.

We loved our stay at Gorilla Mist Camp. The restaurant food was delicious, the jungle views were stunning, and the hot water made things comfortable. Service was attentive and just right. Such a memorable visit, we'd highly recommend it! 🌿✨

The soup came out too salty, so we mentioned it to the server. They adjusted it to use less salt, and it was perfect afterward. Service was 20/10, and the rooms and setting are beautiful. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Definitely recommend visiting!

The view is beautiful from most rooms, and the location is superb. But the way our meal bill was handled really marred the stay. When we paid for lunch and dinner, staff said the card terminal didn't process payments properly and asked us to pay cash. We didn't have enough local currency, so we paid in USD. The manager, Derek, used an exchange rate of 3300 when the actual rate was 3600, and kept another 500 shillings when giving our change. It was clear what had happened, but we didn't want to spend New Year's arguing about money. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend Gorrila Mist as the area's first choice. The food was okay, and staff were helpful and polite. With rain and nighttime temperatures around 12 degrees, the rooms could really use extra heating.
