Kluges Guest Farm

The food was my favorite stop on our tour, and the property itself is beautiful. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend this guest farm :)

Mariam & Stefan Kluge are wonderful hosts and do their best to make you feel comfortable. The lodge is beautiful, and the location is scenic.

We spotted Colobus and Vervet monkeys on the woodland paths, along with plenty of birds. There are gardens to enjoy, a pool, a lounge with an open fire, and even a croquet set for the lawn. The rooms were spotless, and the hosts were delightful; the staff were always helpful. Food was excellent and sourced locally, mostly from the property itself. A superb place.

There’s a real sense of privacy here, with the rooms and camping areas spread across the property. The bungalows are in three buildings away from the main one, and there are also some family-sized houses. The grounds are beautifully maintained, full of flowers and foliage, with forest trails where you can see monkeys and all kinds of birds. It feels safe and secure. The food is very good, and the steak is some of the best I’ve tasted here. The staff are amazing and accommodating, and many have worked here for years. I’ve stayed many times over the years I’ve lived in Uganda, and the service, food, rooms, and everything else have been consistently great. The rooms are spacious and very clean. When you come through the gate, it feels like entering another world. Prices are reasonable for what you get, and I rate it above anywhere else I’ve stayed, including Kyaninga Lodge and other places in the area. The only WiFi is in the restaurant, so I bring a small MIFI for my room.
