Trackers Safari Lodge Bwindi

The setting is peaceful and the views are beautiful, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. We enjoyed some excellent local gin and tonics here. My one disappointment was the limited choice of African dishes at mealtimes.

We only had two days here, but loved every minute. The lodge and the local community made Uganda feel very special to us. We were the only guests in the 11-room lodge during our stay, and the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and engaging. The rooms were well equipped, and the shared spaces were lovely across three levels. The top floor, with its fireplace, bar, and views, was our favorite. The food was fresh and fantastic, and there was plenty of it. It was perfectly placed for our gorilla trek. We also walked to the Batwa village, where we met the king and villagers and heard about their culture and experiences. On our last evening, Akansasira Labour and his schoolchildren sang and danced for us. Akansasira founded the Bwindi Children Empowerment Charity and is an amazing young man doing great things for the community. Our trip organizer chose this lodge, while we picked most of our other places to stay, and we couldn’t have been happier with the choice.

Trackers safari lodge is in bwindi impenetrable national park, with striking views of bwindi impenetrable forests and easy access to gorilla trekking. It’s a 5-star property with spacious, comfortable rooms. The chef has good skills, and there’s a variety of food available.

I wish every tourist visiting Uganda would stay at this lodge. A lot of tourists enjoy exercise, and the gym is available. There are also plenty of swimming pools for anyone who likes to swim.
