We hadn’t planned to visit Aberfeldy, but it became one of the trip’s highlights after a storm shut down the ferries and our trip to Mull was cancelled. I was incredibly lucky to find Balnearn House. Mark and Claire went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful, and the location was perfect. I’ll definitely be back.

Mark and Claire are wonderful hosts, and the house is well worth a stay. It’s a Victorian building with spacious, nicely appointed bedrooms, plus a clean, roomy lounge where breakfast is served and you can look out at the gardens. There are plenty of walks and drives nearby, with countryside full of local bird calls. Pubs and restaurants offer lots of food choices, while art studios, Castles, Whiskey distilleries, Lochs and bike tracks provide outings for the more adventurous.

The rooms were large, spotless and comfortable, with pleasant decor, an excellent shower and plenty of original details in the old house. There’s also a lovely lounge and easy parking on site. The B&B is only a couple of minutes from the town centre shops. The owners were very hospitable, and breakfast was delicious. A perfect place for our short break.

My favorite place we stayed on the trip. The service was amazing, and the customizable breakfast was fantastic. It’s close to the Birks of Aberfeldy, which was lovely to walk around, and the town itself is cute. The Scottish Crannog center was really cool to visit too, and an easy drive or bus ride away. Highly recommend!

Mark welcomed us and showed us to our immaculate room at this lovely B&B. It’s in a great spot, with a path across the road beside the river that takes you on a very short walk to the main square. We enjoyed a drink on the front porch and thought the beautiful town made the stay even better. I believe it earned the five stars I gave it.
