Errichel House And Cottages

Breakfast was tasty, well cooked and reasonably priced, and the Reuben roll was a great extra on the usual menu. It’s a lovely place with a well appointed premises, beautiful gardens full of domestic and exotic fowl, and stunning views. What a great spot. We’ll go back.

A really worthwhile stop when you're in Aberfeldy. I've been a few times for coffee and cake, and the staff and surroundings are beautiful.

The grounds had a fairy tale feel, from the gaggle of geese greeting us on the drive to the ducks on the pond and peacocks displaying their trains on the balcony of our cottage. It was magical and surreal. We stayed in Taigh Na Faire, which was extremely comfortable for our family of five and could have held many more. The living areas were especially spacious, and our youngest loved the toy box and room to explore. We had the most wonderful couple of days at Errichel. We arrived late in the afternoon, but luckily the Deli was still open so we could buy essentials and ingredients for dinner on our first night. Becky warmly welcomed us and asked what we needed. When I said we were making macaroni cheese, she enthusiastically found everything: St. Andrew's cheddar cheese, pea protein pasta, chorizo from the charcuterie counter, milk, and even a little tub of fresh garlic from the Bistro chef. Nothing was too much trouble, and it was a joy to experience how much Becky knew. I’d casually mentioned that it was my husband’s 50th birthday, and within minutes of us reaching the cottage she arrived with local ales, prosecco and a birthday card signed by everyone at Errichel. Such a kind, special touch. We enjoyed breakfast in the Bistro on the first morning, looking out at the landscape while birds fed and rabbits played in their enclosure. The owners have thought of so many details, and having the deli and bistro on site is a bonus. Birks O' Aberfeldy, Aberfeldy town itself, Weem, Kenmore and Pitlochry are only a short drive away. It’s a true gem, and we’ll absolutely be back. Thank you, Becky, for making our stay superb.

We had a delightful afternoon, including a wander around the farm grounds and their beautifully kept gardens. We’d booked the Scottish cheese tasting with three wines, and our host Becky was so gracious. I completely got the tasting time wrong and we arrived almost an hour late, but she brushed it off, sat us down with the cheese and wine, and explained what everything was and where it came from. She left us to enjoy the samples and drinks, then came back to answer our questions.
