Best Western Queens Hotel

The pool, sauna, and steam room were wonderful, and the changing rooms were perfectly fine. My bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and housekeeping came each day. Most of the staff I met were lovely. The building looks nicer from outside than I expected, but the place is dated throughout. My clean bathroom had an avocado suite and 80s tiles, and the walls were so thin there was a lot of noise. It worked for a short stay, but at £126 for two nights, the pool was the only thing that made the price worthwhile. You could find somewhere nicer for less otherwise.

The property itself was lovely, in a fantastic location, and the service and food were good. But the cottage room behind the hotel was the smallest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, and those three nights were miserable for my husband and me. We asked to move, but were told the hotel was full. I wrote to our tour operator and suggested they stop booking those rooms. Inverness, Scotland.

The place looked fancy and was nicely heated, and I found the stay relaxing. The beds were comfortable, while the bedrooms, especially the bathroom, felt slanted. Dinner and breakfast were really nice, though there wasn’t a good table in the room. I didn’t use the gym or pool, but they looked nice. The lift was tiny but moved quickly between floors.

We had a great time in a spacious, tasteful room. The location made it easy to reach the town centre and walk by the river, and the leisure facilities on site were a real bonus. Some gym equipment is a little dated, but it’s all well maintained and properly equipped. The staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful.
