At least there’s a free car park. The mixed grill, though, was dreadful. The steak was somehow overcooked and undercooked throughout, and looked like a grey slab of alien meat. The chicken breast had no skin, yet the meat was blistered, and it was badly overcooked. The pork loin and gammon were gross, while the sausage was just okay and clearly low quality. Even the chips tasted of old oil. I can’t understand how anyone rates the food highly.

We’d stay again. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the food was great. Everyone on staff was welcoming and helpful, especially after we all got soaked in the awful torrential rain.

The lack of basic room supplies made my three nights at Bull Hotel a miserable stay. I wasn’t given a single towel the whole time, and there were no tea sachets, milk or other essentials, despite paying full rates. The rooms were in awful shape too. The floors shook when someone walked past, which felt unsafe and made it very uncomfortable. There’s no lift, so getting luggage upstairs was a nightmare, and the bathroom didn’t even have proper lighting. It felt badly neglected. The owner was the worst part. He was unbelievably rude, arrogant and egoistic. When I raised concerns, he was dismissive and behaved in a disgusting way instead of dealing with them. Pathetic customer service. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, and staying here was a horrible mistake. Uncomfortable rooms, no service and a toxic attitude from management make this place a disgrace to hospitality. There are plenty of better hotels nearby, so don’t waste your money or peace of mind here.
