Cardhu Country House

We were walking the Speyside Way and stayed here as a treat. It’s really well placed for the route, and you can also walk to Cardu distillery for a tour. The huge bed was so comfortable, and the quiet made for a fantastic night’s sleep. Colin and Sarah made us feel cared for from the moment we arrived, and their food was fantastic. Cardu Country House is a beautiful place, and a special find if you need somewhere to stay nearby.

Colin and Sarah were so accommodating, and Colin even pointed us, as locals, toward a few hidden gems we hadn’t known about. We had a wonderful weekend and hope to return next year. The house in Cardhu is stunning and peaceful, with lovely scenery. Our Scottish themed bedroom was tastefully decorated and very clean, and breakfast by the real open fire was wonderful. It was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had.

Colin used to work in the whisky business, so chatting with him over a dram was a real treat. He even lit the fire for us in the evening. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and there’s a comfortable living room downstairs. It’s a lovely old house with a big garden, right in the middle of Speyside and handy for visiting distilleries. We had a great stay at this fantastic little B&B, especially enjoyed the delicious home cooked breakfast, and would recommend it.

It’s a little off the beaten track, but this was one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. The property is stunning, the hosts are lovely, and the family run feel comes through in the fabulous decor and appointments. The breakfast was phenomenal. If a chain owned a place like this, you’d be paying over £200 a night.
