The Station Hotel

Carys made our evenings at the whisky bar especially memorable. She took time to learn what we liked, then guided us through a great range of drams and introduced us to whiskies we might not have found ourselves. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her engaging conversation kept us happily at the bar for hours. She really knows whisky and shares that knowledge with warmth. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, giving us a lovely base after exploring Speyside. From arrival, the friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the whole team clearly takes pride in the guest experience. The Station Hotel in Rothes exceeded our expectations. Whether you’re into whisky or just want a characterful hotel with outstanding service in the heart of Speyside, I’d highly recommend it.

The tasting menu was some of the best food we’ve ever had, and there was a great selection of scotch and wine. We stayed at The Station Hotel for four nights and won’t forget the experience. Our rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed, and the customer service was outstanding. If you’re exploring the Speyside region, this is a must-stay. I was there working as a tour guide with a group of six, and this hotel was an easy choice. The rooms were nice, breakfast lovely, and service great. The staff were superb, attentive, and full of local knowledge. Jacob, who worked evenings, was first class. He helped me find other things to do nearby and choose some good whiskies. One evening he was juggling several different things at once and handled it all with ease.

The food was outstanding, and the wide choice of drinks from the hotel’s own brewery was a real highlight. Ariana and the staff were outstanding too, making me feel at home from the warm welcome right through my visit. The food and decor were excellent. The hotel is in a small town many people might pass through, but the local area is well worth a few days of exploring. I’ll definitely be back soon.
