Steve showed me around and was outstanding, courteous, professional and genuinely respectful. When my food delivery arrived downstairs, he brought it up and asked if I needed cutlery or seasoning. That sort of thoughtfulness made me feel well looked after. The food was excellent, the staff were great, and the location was outstanding. A genuine 10/10. If I visit Aberystwyth again, or friends ask where to stay, this will be my first recommendation. Peak location, peak staff, peak food.

I’ve been going to Harry's for years and have never had a bad time. It’s hands down the best place in Aberystwyth to watch football. Great food, good prices and lovely service, especially the £3.50 pint deal on weekdays until 6pm.

Parking behind the hotel is limited and first come, first served. With our larger vehicle, it could have been tricky, and parking around town is limited and expensive, so plan ahead. Our room also faced the high street, where student noise could carry on late into the evening, something light sleepers may want to bear in mind. That said, Harry's Hotel was great value for money and we enjoyed our stay. The central spot is ideal for exploring Aberystwyth, the room was clean with fresh, good-quality bedding, and breakfast was enjoyable. The team was friendly and went the extra mile. When I needed to add a child to the booking after making it, the staff were exceptionally helpful and reassuring. I’d recommend this friendly hotel with character for a short visit.

While my son was in hospital, I stayed here for two weeks in November. The staff were generous and so friendly, and it felt very homely. It’s a listed building with its quirks, but the location is great, right in the centre, and the place has a lively feel.

The room was bright and clean, and the staff did what they could to help. Still, I can’t understand how the hotel gets its rating. The place feels run-down and is way overpriced for what it offers. There were signs of slipping upkeep, like a window ledge coming apart and a scratched shower base. Our second-floor room was only reachable by narrow stairs, with a carpet of dubious cleanliness, which could be a problem for some guests. We had no Wi-Fi in the room during either of our two nights, and apparently nobody could fix it. Parking was limited, with no guaranteed space, even though our booking suggested there might be one.
