Rock Moor House B&B

We came back for a second visit, and it was excellent again. The family room is really two connecting rooms, both very spacious, with comfortable beds. Everything felt warm and welcoming, and the rooms are a good size with tasteful furnishings and decor. Breakfast was excellent, with a quality cooked option as well as a good cold selection. It’s close to the coast and Alnwick. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was superb, with plenty of cereals, yoghurts and fruit, homemade bread, and a full English plus other options, all excellent quality. Carolyn was so friendly and did a fantastic job making our stay lovely; nothing seemed too much trouble. My husband and I stayed for four nights at the end of June, and Rock Moor House felt special as soon as we arrived. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious, with nice furnishings. There was always plenty of hot water for showers and fresh replacement towels. Being surrounded by countryside made for a good night’s sleep. Thank you!

The room and gardens were just perfect, and breakfast was amazing, with plenty of choice and kippers cooked to order that were excellent. I stayed for one night in June 2021 and had the best experience ever. The host was pleasant and very personable. We chatted in the living room, where there was cake, sherry and port.

Carolyn was a fabulous host, and nothing was too much trouble. We had a great overnight stay at Rock Moor House with a group of twelve cyclists. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, the food was lovely, and the grounds were very attractive. I’d thoroughly recommend it.
