Norfolk Arms

We've stayed here six times now, including three visits in the last 10 weeks, and we're already planning another. Caroline was lovely to talk to and attentive when she helped with our latest booking, and she got us a better price than the online booking sites. Booking direct with the hotel seems to get the best price. A bottle of Prosecco was waiting in our room this weekend, a lovely welcome. We like the low-ceiling rooms for their cosy, romantic feel. For a special occasion in December, we were upgraded to a larger room with a four-poster bed and views of the high street's sparkly Christmas lights. The rooms we've tried have all been clean, with comfy beds and beautiful views. Breakfast has a great cooked selection and an all-you-can-eat buffet, and parking in the hotel grounds is a real bonus.

I've stayed here a few times and always enjoy it. The chef did a fantastic job last Thursday, especially with the beautifully cooked hake. And a shout-out to the waiter from Madeira, one of the best, with excellent service!

We're here for our second Christmas at the Norfolk Hotel, and it's been amazing. Right in the heart of Arundel, this lovely old hotel has polite, friendly and professional staff. The food is excellent, and our courtyard room is clean, quiet and just perfect. I'd highly recommend staying here.

I booked at the last minute when there weren't many rooms left, and got an Attic Room. It was fairly comfortable, with a modern bathroom, though the low ceiling is only okay if you're under 6ft. During the night I found that a fan or extractor on the roof kept switching on and off every 30 minutes. The bed was quite comfortable. It was a last-minute choice, but if I booked again I'd pick a different room.
