We booked a night away for my wife and me, close to home but far enough to feel like a getaway. A big snowfall hit on the day, but we still made it. Because it was so cold, we decided to stay in and focus on having a romantic evening together. The staff were perfect, and the room was too. We had a really nice meal and enjoyed our drinks as well. I'd like to come back, maybe for a summer night away, and explore more of Ashby in the evening. Thank you.

We called at the last minute to ask for a table and they were very accommodating. The food and service were excellent. Megan looked after us brilliantly, friendly and professional, and happy to help with anything. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had a lovely welcome for dinner this week, and the staff were fantastic, friendly and gave great service. The food was great too. I'm not local to the pub, but I'll make the effort to come back and would definitely recommend it.

I was really looking forward to the rump steak, but it came out burnt, overcooked and very dry, even though I'd ordered it medium rare. When I mentioned it to the young waitress, she asked if I wanted the dessert menu. I was very disappointed.

Zoe met with us before the wedding, took the time to listen to what we wanted, and helped make the setup stress free the day before. Zoe and the staff arranged everything, including the seat covers and bows. The staff were brilliant and friendly on the day, and it was amazing value for money. We held our wedding meal for 100 guests in the back room. The food was amazing, with starters followed by a carvery just for our wedding guests. They really made the day special, and I'd recommend them 100% for any occasion.
