Laura’s friendly welcome and our morning chats were a lovely part of the stay. She made delicious breakfasts in the spacious kitchen and dining area. She also told me about Craighall’s history, from its rustic beginnings more than a century ago to when Laura and her family acquired the property, respected its history and buildings, and restored it. South Craighall B&B is a real treasure. Development is slowly eating into rural areas across the country, but this place remains tucked away somewhere both soothing and invigorating. I treasure peace, quiet and privacy, and found all three at South Craighall. I love trees, historic buildings and the nearby horses that greeted me each morning. The grounds and the view were wonderful, especially the little nook for reading and relaxing. My Scottish cousin, who lives outside Glasgow, and I had two rooms and a large bathroom between us, and enjoyed every minute of our three-day, three-night stay. From driving down the lane to leaving, it was a pleasure. Thank you, Laura. It was a wonderful start to many weeks of travel. Seven months later, I still remember your lovely B&B vividly. I didn’t want to miss the chance to recommend South Craighall so enthusiastically. My cousin feels the same. Many thanks! 🇨🇦☺️

Laura’s place really felt like home, and I’d definitely recommend staying there. We booked directly through her website, and she answered questions very quickly. The room was comfortable, while the bathroom was spacious and luxurious, with lots of lovely personal care products and plenty of soft towels, just right after a day hiking. Breakfast was delicious and well prepared. If you like overnight oats, be sure to try them!

We loved the quiet, beautiful area and enjoyed being visited by Olive and Clover. Laura was a wonderful host. When we struggled to find our way, she came to rescue us. We had a whole section of the house to ourselves, and the room was wonderful. The breakfasts and our chats with Laura were lovely, and she was so helpful with directions, places to eat and things to see. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Laura spoiled me and treated me so well. Her made-to-order breakfast was wonderful, served piping hot. The rooms were spotless, and the B&B was quiet and relaxing while still close to Glasgow. Laura is a fabulous hostess. The photos on her website matched what I saw when I visited, so I’ve nothing else to add. I highly recommend booking a stay, and I’ll reach out to Laura when I’m back.

Two nights didn’t feel like enough in this comfortable, well-appointed house. Even when our film crew arrived for a whole day, the warm, calm welcome wasn’t disturbed. The place is a gem, perfectly organised, charming and unfussy. Laura is just like that too. Can thoroughly recommend.
