Gleneagles Hotel

The restaurants we tried all served perfect food, the staff were unreal, and the accommodation was second to none. We’re already looking forward to going back at the end of January for my wife’s Mother’s 60th. This was my second stay at Gleneagles, and it was every bit as good as the first. Our 10 year old boy came along this time and loved it. We’d wondered whether children would enjoy the place, but there was an endless choice of activities for both kids and adults. What stayed with me again was the care with the details. I’d called several weeks ahead to explain that my wife would be heavily pregnant and ask how they could make her stay easier. They put us on the ground floor, just a few meters from the Garden Cafe and leisure facilities, and even sent a little congratulations cake. They really did go the extra lengths to accommodate us.

We had a blast at both activities and felt safe throughout. Ian kept the clay pigeon shooting fun and on schedule, and we were grateful for his guidance. Falconry was a unique, informative experience too. My wife and I weren’t staying at the hotel, but we really enjoyed taking part there. Holly made us feel comfortable around the wonderful birds.

What a fabulous experience at Gleneagles. I had a spa day, and Jenny Campbell was an amazing therapist. She listened to my concerns and worked on them. I floated out of the therapy suite. I highly recommend her. Helen

The rooms are amazing, the restaurants outstanding, and the bars impeccable. It’s an outstanding hotel and worth every penny. Check-in was the one real letdown and made a poor first impression. We arrived at a busy time and waited a solid 20 minutes to get checked in. Nobody helped us with our bags from the car or showed us to our room. We also weren’t told that the American bar would be closed for two nights of our stay. Luckily, we went on the first night while it was open, since it shouldn’t be missed.
