Breakfast was a real highlight, especially Mark’s pancakes, the best I’ve ever had. Mark and his wife were so welcoming, and the room was cozy, spotless, and had everything we needed. The Guest House is handy for the ski resort, with plenty of pubs and restaurants close by. I’d happily recommend it and come back.

Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, and the breakfast had lots to choose from. The pancakes with fresh fruit were so good I’d come back for them alone. We had the two-room suite for two nights, with two single beds in one room and a queen in the other. It was a good size, the bathroom was clean and everything worked, though there could be a bit more space by the sink for toiletries. There was also a couch and coffee table beside the TV. The lounge closes after 9 PM, presumably because it’s next to a guest room; sound carries in older and newer houses alike, but we had no noise issues. We got around by bus for our activities, which took longer, so I’d probably hire a car next time.

The room at Cairngorm Guest House was warm, clean, and cozy, and Mark was accommodating about my check-in. It’s in a fantastic spot on the main road through Aviemore, close to the Cairngorms. I’d stay again.

We were travelling late from Inverness, and Mark arranged a late check-in for us. He and his colleagues were great hosts. The room was spotless, and breakfast was cooked to order with an extensive menu. There’s a shared room with a fridge for drinks. It made a perfect base for Cairngorm, and the main pubs are an easy walk away. We’ll be back.

Mark gave us some great hiking ideas for the Cairngorms, and was an outstanding host. This was our first inn after leaving Edinburgh, and it set a high standard for the rest of our trip. The rooms were clean, well equipped, and roomy, and breakfast was amazing. The place is central but still feels quiet and cozy. We’d gladly recommend it and stay again.
