I paid for a late checkout, and reception told me we could keep the room until 3pm because nobody else had booked it. At 2pm, a cleaner came to the door, a small older woman with short white hair, and told us to leave. I explained what reception had said. When I described the man I’d spoken to, she gave me a cheeky look, as if she thought I was stupid. She made it clear she didn’t believe me and thought I was making it up. Her belittling manner was rude and unprofessional.

The service was awful. We were five minutes late, and a short woman with white hair came to the door without knocking, despite the do not disturb sign. She told us to leave without even giving us five minutes to check properly. She was very rude and didn’t seem to understand hospitality.

The room was clean and tidy, with an en suite shower and bath, and soap, tea and coffee were provided. The staff were nice. There’s no food or bar in the hotel, but there’s one next door. The hotel sits between two very busy main roads, so it was noisy at night.

I stayed overnight for work and only realised I’d left my adapter plug and laptop charger behind when I got home, 400 miles away. I called the hotel, and they kindly posted my things to me. Thank you so much!

The staff were welcoming, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. There’s ample parking, and you don’t need to register your number plate. Great hotel.
