We had a great time, from arriving at 11am right through to closing. Faith was exceptionally friendly and cheerful behind the bar. The food was lovely too. A great little pub that I’d highly recommend.

A very good pub stop-over. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the pub food was good. Campervans and small motor homes can stay overnight for free, though space is limited, so it’s best to phone ahead. There’s water for tanks but no waste disposal, as you’d expect from a free car park. We didn’t use the hotel, so I can’t comment on the rooms.

We found the Red Well Inn a lovely place for a break on our journey. Our room was really nice, and having a private terrace made the stay feel special. After a long day, the beautifully cooked food was just what we needed. It was warm and welcoming, and we’d happily come back.

We’d absolutely stay here again. Even though they were already full, the staff found room for us, and they were incredible. The food was fantastic, and the inn is only a short walk from the lovely town. Thank you very much 😁🏴

The room was tiny and badly dated, with chipped brown paint all over. The bed was OK and the sheets and towels were crisp and clean, but that was about all I could praise. The public areas were shabby and the carpets stained. It felt like going back in time, and the hotel needs a revamp. I was there on Sunday evening. The kitchen had closed at 1600, so there was no food, and the bar shut at 1900. Without a car there aren’t other restaurants nearby. Breakfast was a very average continental one, with powdered coffee. There are plenty of other options in the area, and I’d use them. Most reviews seem to be from people who stayed in the caravan park, lucky them. For a supposedly rated hotel, this doesn’t deserve the rating. Time for an inspector to visit and reassess it.
