This feels like a last-resort place to sleep, barely more than a prison cell, and there were other guests loitering around at all hours who weren't pleasant to be around. It seems the council may be housing homeless people or others here. The hotel is massively outdated and needs a facelift, though the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. If you're stuck and can't even sleep in your car, perhaps, but expect less than basic accommodation.

We used this as a base for visiting family nearby, and the staff were fantastic. The room was good, although I'd have liked an extra pillow on each bed. Road noise was very minimal considering the location. The evening menu was basic, but the meal was filling.

This shouldn't be advertised as a hotel at all, it felt more like a motel. The rooms were okay, but below standard and not what we wanted. It looked better on the website and needs a revamp. Maybe fine for someone travelling alone for one night, if motels are your thing.

As a solo traveller, this place was just right for me. I stayed Saturday night to visit my son nearby, and everything was perfect. The staff were more than helpful, the room was warm, and the beds were super comfortable with a choice of pillows. I'll be back next month and this will be the only hotel I use here. Thanks, guys.

I felt very safe travelling alone, and the staff were more than helpful. The beds were comfortable, with a choice of pillows. I came to visit my son in Basildon, and everything was perfect. I'd definitely stay again and would recommend it every time. Thanks to everyone.
