The whole house smells of urine, and it's so dirty. Whenever we went out and came back in, we had to cover our noses and mouths because the smell of wee was so bad. The free WiFi, TV and kettle they advertise online were all lies. None of it works. What a terrible experience.

The place was absolute filth. My oldest two children slept in the bunk beds and woke up covered in bedbug bites. We booked with my partner and our five children. I contacted the owner, who was supposed to give me a full refund, but it never arrived. I have photos of my children's bodies covered in bites, but I won't put them on the internet. Do not book here.

We booked for the fireworks, but the urine smell should have warned us. The room was dirty, and the bathroom was no better. The owners denied there were bed bugs, but we found one on our double bed at the back. I took a few pictures and left without looking back. Luckily, Travelodge in St Annes had a family room available, or we'd have been stranded. Avoid!

There was space for me, my husband and our two children, but the room was in a terrible state. The carpet was dirty and didn't fit, holes were in the ceiling, and there was mould on the wall. A clothes rail and curtain rail were falling off. The floorboard moved underfoot like a trampoline. The bathroom was filthy too, with a dirty sink and shower, cloths stuffed behind the toilet for some reason, and the door handle came off in my husband's hand. The bed was so uncomfortable I was up and down all night, and my oldest had to sleep on the duvet because springs were coming through. We stayed because everywhere else was full, but we couldn't face another night and left first thing in the morning. No owner was around for us to raise these issues. The pictures on booking.com are not the right ones, and the advert is totally false. There were other guests too, including one person who stayed an hour and left. Several others left in the morning, and only one person stayed. I could go on, but this would take about three days. My husband booked the weekend for the Blackpool air show, and from the moment we came in, the smell of urine, apparently dog urine, was unreal. A bed part and headboard were sitting in the hall. On the way up, we saw fire extinguishers that were two years out of date, dusty and hanging off the wall. The dirty floor had a badly ripped carpet, and the ceiling was falling apart. Please don't waste your money. I'd rather sleep in a gutter, it was cleaner.

The place stank of cigarette smoke despite being a no smoking hotel, and there was a stale pee smell as well. We only realised late, after coming back from the fireworks, that our room was infested with bedbugs. We had four children with us. The lady gave another family a different room when they had the same problem, but that room had the same issue. At midnight we were left trying to contact bookings.com and find another B&B, but everything was fully booked for the busy fireworks and lights weekend. We walked around looking, with no luck. Our youngest was only four. We weren't expecting the Ritz, but the reviews on booking.com seemed okay. We should have checked here and on Trip Advisor. With nowhere to stay, we had to take a taxi home, which cost £220, and got in at 4 am. The place should be bulldozed. Avoid wasting your money here.
