The breakfast was really nice, and the chef was friendly enough to make me poached eggs. Everyone on staff was welcoming, especially Bobby, who was careful during check-in and kept checking that people were all right. The rooms were clean and warm, with a comfortable bed and an amazing rain shower. It’s a central hotel with public parking close by. I’d definitely stay again.

Bobby was great when I asked about switching rooms and needed a fridge for my meal. The whole team were helpful, and my room was spacious and in good shape. It was very cold when I arrived, though, and took a while to warm up. I was pleased with the stay overall.

The Thyme restaurant is inside the hotel, and Bobby even stayed to chat with us after we’d finished eating. He’d been very helpful, pleasant and well mannered when he greeted us. The place felt clean and friendly, with a good atmosphere, and there was plenty of parking. It was perfectly located for my visit, and this may be the nicest Premiere Inn I’ve stayed at.

The food was the best I’ve had in a Premier Inn, which may have something to do with the manager having owned a restaurant. The dining room and bar are practical, but could be cosier. Rooms were immaculately prepared, and the hotel is handy for Basingstoke town Centre. There are only a few street spaces nearby, and you’ll need to get up early to feed the meter unless you get one of the limited spaces in the hotel car park. I can hardly recommend the hotel more highly. I’d give it five stars, but the location in Basingstoke is the one thing that detracts from it.

Bobby made the stay that bit better. He was welcoming and helpful, which we appreciated as we’re both from out of town. The room was clean and tidy, and being right in the centre was great too. I don’t often leave reviews, but wanted to say thanks!
