Bailbrook House

The breakfast was a feast for the eyes and taste buds. There was a fantastic cold buffet with fruit, breads, meats and lots of cereals, plus a full English and several other menu choices cooked to order at no extra cost. It was without doubt the best breakfast I’ve had in the UK. Parking is free, and they were happy for us to leave the car for a few hours after checkout. There’s a bus stop at the end of the drive for trips into the city centre. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped, and the bathroom immaculate. There’s a nice little gym if you fancy exercising. Staff of all ages were very helpful and friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about our stay. We’d highly recommend the hotel and will be back. The staff made us feel welcome from arrival through to departure and were helpful whenever we needed anything. At breakfast they were friendly and engaging, with plenty of conversation and laughter, and even suggested ways to walk into Bath. The breakfast itself was fabulous and catered for food intolerances, with alternatives to wheat and cows’ milk. Our room was warm, inviting, spotless and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, elevated and full of natural historic charm. It was a perfect overnight stay in a lovely location, with easy access to the main routes in and out of Bath, including the M4. We’ll stay again and highly recommend it.

I’ve been here several times over the past five years for weddings, corporate events and parties, and it’s consistently great. The food, including breakfast, is good, and the rooms are nice, especially the suites in the main part of the building. There’s loads of parking, and the atmosphere is generally relaxed. Staff are attentive and seem genuinely interested in providing good service. Definitely one of the good ones!

Leaving our luggage behind by accident could have been a hassle, but the staff handled it extremely well. They’re friendly and efficient, and the hotel and rooms are clean. Breakfast was very tasty, too. It was a real treat to stay here, and the place is much better than others nearby.
