Hampton by Hilton Belfast City Centre

The staff were helpful with getting things sent to our room and offering tips on city attractions. Maryann at reception deserves a mention for making us feel welcome when we arrived and making sure we could ask for anything. We had a long weekend in Belfast, a great city to visit, and Hampton by Hilton was a perfect choice. It's right in the centre, about a five-minute walk from the bus station, with beautiful rooms, free Wi-Fi and an amazing breakfast buffet.

The location makes it easy to get around, just five minutes on foot from Grand Central Station and ten from the busy town centre. I paid extra for a corner room, and the windows on two sides made it feel much bigger, so the upgrade was worth it. In the room, I liked the textured non-slip shower floor and the simple controls. Some hotel showers feel like operating a spacecraft, but this one was easy. I would have liked a small fridge, though that's just my personal preference, not something necessary. The atmosphere was unpretentious, friendly and welcoming. Food and drink options were simple but more than enough, served quickly and at fair prices. The Full Irish breakfast was a great start to the day, and there was a well-stocked continental option too. Lucy, Pablo, Sam, Rachel & Katrina were real credit to the hotel. They were down to earth, personable and friendly with everyone I saw them interact with. Thanks to the whole team, I look forward to staying again.

A very good stay at a clean, good hotel, as you'd expect from the Hilton. The staff were helpful and friendly, and it's ideally placed for the shuttle bus from Belfast International airport and Grand Central train station. Glad there was a decent-sized mug in the room for a proper cup of tea. A bit more milk for us tea drinkers would be great.

The hotel is great value, and its location is convenient, just a few minutes' walk from the bus station and the city centre. We had a weekend stay for my daughter's birthday, as she wanted to visit the Titanic museum. Check-in was quick, and Michelle at the front desk made her feel so special with a choice of goodies, then brought a slice of cake to the room. It honestly made her so happy, thank you so much. Breakfast set us up well for exploring. We'd definitely stay again.
