Cornhill Castle Hotel

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and both meals were tasty, nicely presented and worth recommending. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our bedroom, Glamis, was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom that had a jacuzzi bath and shower. The decor suited the building, too. The one drawback was that the window faced the roof, so there wasn’t a view.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and had enough choice to be satisfying, though it wasn’t the most extravagant we’ve had. The staff were friendly and helpful without hovering. We first came to Cornhill Castle Hotel when friends got married there, and the place made a beautiful impression. The countryside around the charming castle was breathtaking, and the wedding was thoughtfully arranged. The staff’s warm, attentive care helped make the celebration feel personal. Our room was elegant and cosy, with classic decor and thoughtful touches. We left relaxed and happy, already thinking about a return. We’d recommend it for a romantic break or a special occasion.

A peaceful spot, and there’s no real need to leave the estate, though shops are about 5 minutes away if you need them. The lodge was cosy, had a hot tub and the usual amenities, and reception were helpful. The hot tub wasn’t completely private, but it was still good 😋 I noticed a stained menu and a fluffy bathroom extractor. A little maintenance attention would help.

The person in charge that night did a phenomenal job, and we felt really special. The food was amazing and the service was great. We had a fantastic time celebrating my daughter’s 21st last Saturday night (1st nov). This has been a favourite family celebration spot for years. Thanks so much!
