We got married here on Saturday 8th November, and we’re still smiling about what was truly the best day of our lives. Marston farm has a lovely rustic charm, and the staff were fabulous. Nicola the Manager made us feel at ease and treated every request like it mattered. Stuart the in house Dj was also fantastic and so helpful. From breakfast through the wedding dinner and evening buffet, the food was wonderful and our guests were very happy. Hats off to the chef, and thank you Marston farm for making our day so special!

We booked this double room as a Christmas stop on the way to see family. At £124, it cost more than I’d usually choose to pay. The breakfast was cold, with all the food that should have been warm sitting at room temperature. The seating in the breakfast room was shabby too, with huge, old splits in the vinyl and the foam worn away beneath them. There was loud noise from drunken guests shouting and slamming doors until 03:30. The lamp controls on both sides of the bed didn’t work properly, and there was dirt around the switches. The room and bathroom had battered panels. Getting to the concierge meant walking past eight smokers in the smoking shelter right by the main entrance. Clouds of foul tobacco smoke covered the only route, and it left my expensive, well cared for clothes stinking all night and into the morning. They finally smelled clean after I washed them at our destination the next day. Why does this happen? Senior management must not use the rooms they sell, or they’d see what guests are getting. I’ve travelled globally for 25 years on business, and there’s a clear chance here to improve things or reduce the price to match the standard. I’ve posted photos of the listed issues on Booking.com.

Nicola, the manager, looked after us from our first meeting until we left the day after the wedding. She made us feel like we were her only concern the whole time. On the day, the team kept our nerves down and put everything into making the wedding perfect. Stuart the DJ stuck to our chosen genres, and his master of ceremonies role went seamlessly. The whole team prepared so meticulously that what we’d pictured was exactly what we got. The hotel kept in touch exceptionally well and responded brilliantly to our requests. We arrived the day before our wedding on 07/06/25 and were well cared for by everyone on duty. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and maintained. We even came back at the end of the wedding day to find ours tidied and cleaned. Those little things meant a lot to us. We can’t thank everyone at Brook Marston Farm Hotel enough. We can’t wait to stay again. Thank you for making the day so perfect.

The rooms were spotless and the staff were so lovely. Breakfast was delicious too. My only problem was the beds, which felt like lying on cement. We had two singles, though maybe double beds are more comfortable. Thanks to the lovely girls who looked after us.

We’d read the reviews only after booking, so we arrived a bit apprehensive, but ended up having a really nice 10-day stay. The surroundings by the canal were lovely, and there’s a very nice pub just a short walk along it. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy, with a big, very comfortable bed. The shower was brilliant, and we’d love to know where to get a shower head like that. They cleaned the room and changed the bedding and towels every day. The staff were lovely and helpful. One warning: the hot water is scalding.
