That handwritten birthday card and small box of chocolates from the receptionist were such an unexpected, lovely touch. After we’d gone into Birmingham city centre, she’d brought them to our room. At check-in she’d noticed my girlfriend’s birthday badge, wished her a happy birthday, and asked if we were visiting Crufts. She was friendly and helpful from the start. The room was spotless, modern, and really comfortable. We stayed Saturday night and had breakfast in the morning. Instead of the Premier Inn buffet we knew, you ordered whatever food and however much you wanted from a staff member, who brought it to the table. I liked that this could reduce food waste, but it put me off having a second plate. Checkout was easy, just hand in the keycard. Parking was free, after entering your reg plate on the iPad at reception.

The first person I met at reception was Steve, and his customer service was first class. He was friendly, professional, and helpful when I asked for extra pillows. Marie was friendly and helpful too. This is the sort of service I want as a customer, and it’s what makes people leave good reviews, come back, and share their experience. Well done to Steve and Marie.

The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was amazing. Everyone on staff was friendly, especially with my five-year-old daughter. The ladies working breakfast this morning and Sunday morning deserve a special mention. When we needed a fresh duvet cover for her bed last night, the man at the desk sorted it out without fuss. The staff seemed happy to be there and proud of their work. We’d gladly stay again and recommend it. Thank you ☺️

I’ve stayed here for two weeks now and am coming back for a third. After hundreds of Premier Inns over the years, this one really stands out. The front desk team have been especially good at making guests feel welcome. Steve, in particular, has a warm, lively manner and goes out of his way to make people feel special. He’s a credit to Premier Inn, and this hotel is a credit to the chain. The Toby Carvery has been a nice extra too.

My mum was very happy with the ground-floor room arranged for her while she stayed nearby for a couple of nights. It was comfortable, clean, and had everything she needed. Steve greeted us with loads of warmth and was helpful and cheerful, and the two women we met at reception were just as lovely. The customer service was top notch. Mum enjoyed the full breakfast as well. A really lovely stay, thank you.
