It’s a short, lovely walk to Villa Park, past a beautiful church. We stayed with our son to celebrate after the game, even though we live just outside Birmingham. We felt comfortable and looked after the whole time, with all those personal touches that give it a real family-run feel. Breakfast service was great, and we’ll definitely return as a treat. The staff were proud of the place, knew their stuff, and were delightful. Our room was immaculate, with Victorian-style fixtures and fittings full of detail. The restoration of the building is incredible. Every bit of it has been thought through, and we loved it.

Having a lively pub downstairs for before and after the match was a real bonus, and the room was beautiful. I rarely call a place charming, but as an American used to cookie-cutter chain hotels, this was the most charming accommodation I’ve stayed in. I’d absolutely come back. I was in Birmingham for 24 hours to see a Villa match while passing through Europe on a business trip. The stadium was a short walk away, the accommodation was top notch, and the service went above and beyond.

Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were all brilliant. Check-in went very efficiently even though they were busy. We stayed overnight after visiting Aston villa. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The hotel bars were really busy, so there was security on the door, but the doormen were very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was great. I couldn’t find anything to fault.

A brilliant spot for staying over to see a game. Everyone on staff is so friendly, it’s in a great location, and there’s a secure car park.
