The staff were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was good, especially the lovely bacon. Dinner was disappointing, with very little choice, though what we had was edible. There was a singer for entertainment. Three coachloads turned up together around 6pm, so it was busy at check-in, but the receptionist moved the queue along quickly. The key card note sent us to a room on the second floor that turned out to be a dormitory-style room with one double bed and several singles. It wasn't what we'd arranged, and we weren't staying in the only room on that floor. We were moved to the first floor, where the room was much better, with fresh sheets, a tidy room and a clean bathroom. The hotel felt tired, and the lift only fits one person at a time. I'm not sure we'd stay again.

The customer service was really poor. First I got a key that didn't work, then another key for a room that was already occupied. I was so embarrassed when I opened the door 😳. The location was great, and the room was reasonable and good value. The hotel itself wasn't bad, and it's beside the motorway.

We paid for a double room, but were given two single beds when we arrived. Staff wouldn't correct the mistake or offer another solution, so we had to leave straight away. They still refused to refund us. It was an unacceptable experience, and the hotel came across as dishonest and unprofessional, with no respect for its guests. Avoid it.

From the first look, this hotel needs attention. I was shown three rooms, and none had good hygiene. There was blood and pubic hair on the beds and bedding at every level; the bedding was old and torn, the furnishings were damaged, and the rooms badly needed dusting. Some also had black mould. It all looked neglected, yet they still charge what they do.
