Premier Inn Liverpool North

The reception staff were great, friendly and helpful, but the bed was very tired and didn’t live up to the hype. The carpet and furniture were badly stained too. When we checked out, there was a huge splash of vomit outside the reception door, presumably from one of the stags staying there. Why hadn’t it been washed down?

The rooms were clean and had the amenities you’d expect, but the heating wasn’t working properly in my room or another person in my party’s room. One of us had to use an oil heater. The staff’s language in the lobby yesterday morning was absolutely disgusting. I was waiting for the rest of my party and overheard about four desk staff discussing each other’s sleeping habits in completely inappropriate detail and language for a professional setting. I was also shocked by the harsh, disparaging way they spoke about another staff member.

Thankfully we only stayed one night. This was possibly the dirtiest Premier Inn we’ve ever been to. There was thick dust on the headboard and side panelling, the bedside light switch was sticky and filthy, and the inside of the kettle was brown and dirty. The duvet was frayed and torn in several spots, the carpet was very grubby, the bathroom plug was stuck and took effort to free, and the bathroom ceiling paint was peeling. Very disappointing!

We always feel welcome at the bar, where the staff are brilliant and we have a laugh with them. All the staff are friendly and approachable. We stay every time we visit family, and couldn’t fault the place. We ring ahead to ask for a particular area of the hotel, and so far they’ve been able to accommodate us.
