We really appreciated being able to leave the car parked for an extra day after checkout, so we could enjoy our last day without worrying about it. We’ll definitely come back. Our two-night stay felt like a warm, luxurious hug, and the hotel is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Inside, everything is beautifully put together, and after a damp, muddy but invigorating walk, the fire and candlelight made the place feel especially welcoming. Daniela, Annie and the rest of the team made the biggest impression. They were genuinely caring, friendly and attentive, always seeming to know what we might need. Scott was just as attentive when we had a special birthday dinner in the restaurant. The scallops were the best I’ve ever tasted, the soufflé was fantastic, and the beef was tender with generous portions.

The arancini was the highlight: delicious, nicely presented and fairly priced. The other two dishes were disappointing. The Korean Fried Chicken was more like chicken nuggets with an attempted Asian slaw in sweet chilli, and the burger came with cold chips and was on a par with Weatherspoon’s. At over £20 for each dish, what you get feels very poor. We booked lunch after seeing the Google reviews while visiting the area for the weekend, and went in hopeful. The menu is a strange mix that didn’t really make sense. I wouldn’t recommend eating here. There are much better pubs nearby outside Bourton on water, or you could go to the Fish and Chip shop.

The staff were so thoughtful with the children at breakfast, even bringing them fresh fruit. Breakfast in the main house was varied and delicious, too. We spent a lovely birthday weekend at the Dial House and Bourton-on-the-Water. Our four rooms in the Coach House were cosy, well equipped and had comfortable beds. Thanks again for making our mum’s birthday special!

Breakfast was top quality. My favourite was the smoked trout with scrambled egg on sour dough toast. We also ate in the restaurant one evening, and both the food and service were excellent. It’s very popular, so try to book ahead. We were there to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday, and the evening made it a really enjoyable occasion. Many thanks to The Dial House. Our room was spacious, spotless, well presented and comfortable, and every staff member we met was friendly, helpful, attentive and polite. The main house has a cosy, relaxing feel, with drinks and food available there. The Dial house is right in the heart of Bourton on the Water, in one of the Cotswolds’ most beautiful and popular areas. There’s also free parking on site.

The Moules Mariniere was my favourite. The food and drink were excellent, and both waiters were friendly and accommodating. I had dinner there, ordering the Moules Mariniere and Coastal Spritz to eat in, and they were able to pack the Beef Short Rib for me to take away.
