The check-in was easy, parking was good, and the communal areas were clean and well kept. The sheets and towels were clean too. Only one flat pillow had been provided, but a very helpful evening staff member promptly brought us more when we asked. The room itself was poorly maintained and unhygienic. There was a large dark red mark on the floor that looked suspiciously like blood, brown stains on the carpet, coffee marks on surfaces, splatters on the walls, and peeling or damaged units. Condensation was heavy throughout: water ran down the walls onto the floor and our belongings, and the vanity mirror was so fogged up it was hard to use. Old sticker residue was still on the mirror, and the vanity light switch had makeup or lipstick marks. In the bathroom, hair was stuck to the wall, there were brown marks on the tiles behind the toilet roll holder, mould in the shower sealant, and heavy limescale and staining around the toilet rim and base. The room was extremely hot, and the heating controls didn’t seem to work. Supplies weren’t enough for two nights, with only two tiny milk pods. We requested extra towels using the door sign, but they weren’t replenished. It was a street-level room with no privacy film, so passersby could see inside unless we kept the curtains fully closed. The restaurant wasn’t dog-friendly, and this hadn’t been made clear. Getting coffee was confusing too: there were no takeaway cups, self-serve options were limited, and despite a barista machine behind the counter, we were directed to the free machine instead. The check-in and shared areas were fine, but the condition of the room was especially disappointing given the extra pet cleaning fee. We wouldn’t stay at this location again.

Breakfast had a nice range of hot food, cold options and drinks, and there was parking onsite. We’d stay here again if we were in the area. Our family room was clean, with one double bed and two put-up beds, and we had no problems with it. It was a comfortable temperature. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, plus soap, shower gel and bathroom towels. A bath mat for the floor would have been useful.

During our visit to Windsor, my wife and I stayed here and enjoyed both the hotel and breakfast. The staff were friendly and nice, and all the areas were clean. There was a small Christmas tree by reception that looked nice. We’ll visit again.

The room was large and clean, with a comfortable bed and chairs. It was close to all the amenities. I’d definitely stay here again.
