For my 40th birthday, we had a fantastic family stay. The staff were calm, friendly and so helpful, and everyone we met was patient with our little one. Thanks especially to Dan, the newer lady on front of house whose name I didn’t catch, Patrick, who our little boy was quite besotted with, and the night porters. There was plenty to keep children entertained even in the autumn weather, including the fairy garden, play den, cinema club and swimming. We also enjoyed some adult-only spa time and really good massages as a treat. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the decor was perfect. Food was excellent too. We all loved the dinners, the breakfast had great choice and quality, and we had one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had out. This hotel really understands what families with small children need. We’d absolutely visit again.

I went with my family and some family friends, staying here while we were in the old town of Bath. The hotel was interesting, and my friend and I liked how quiet it was compared with places like Center Parcs. At the time, I was let down by the smaller menu, though now I appreciate how simple it was. It also got me really into Schnitzel. A very nice stay.

We came to Woolley Grange for our 10-year anniversary and our daughters’ birthdays, as they were turning 2 and 4. It’s in lovely countryside and only a short walk from town. From the moment we arrived, the whole place felt special. The staff were kind and thoughtful, with so much care in the little details. The newly renovated spaces are cosy, stylish and full of character. Our girls loved the play den, and the evening movie with cookies and milk was a highlight. We couldn’t believe two hours of childcare were included, which gave us time together and let us enjoy some amazing spa treatments. It felt relaxing and rejuvenating for all of us. We couldn’t find a single fault, and our eldest started calling it “the magic hotel.” They’ve thought of everything to make it a lovely family getaway for parents and children alike. Woolley Grange has won our hearts, and we can’t wait to return.

Our first holiday with our 6-month-old was perfect. The staff and facilities made it a completely stress-free, relaxing break, and we’ll definitely be back at Woolley Grange.

Lovely hotel for a stay with a little one. The rooms are a bit awkward to move around in because of the low beams and things, but the spa and the den are lovely.
