We came back for our second stay and it lived up to what we remembered. Three friends travelling from different parts of the UK, we found the parking right outside really handy and made for a stress-free weekend. The team were warm and engaging, a big reason we returned, and we had a hot drink and a chance to catch our breath after our two-hour journeys before heading out for the day. Room 10 was ready when we got back around 5pm. It works perfectly for three women of a certain age who each want their own bed. The beds were comfy, the bedding gorgeous, the towels fluffy and white, and the bathroom massive. There was a chair for each of us, plus a fantastic tea, coffee and hot chocolate station with lovely biscuits. An iron and ironing board were there too, though we all stayed well away from them! We loved the stay. We’ll be sorry to see Thalio restaurant closing, but hope the new venture opens in time for our next visit, which we’re already planning. Highly recommend the Falcon for an enjoyable stay.

I booked a single room at the very last minute, less than five minutes before closing, and was really impressed they could fit me in. It had everything I needed, felt comfortable and warm, and came with tea-making facilities. The shower was a delight, and breakfast was a very good English one. The chef was keen to make my stay enjoyable. A warm welcome from the hotel and many thanks to everyone involved. 😊😊😊

The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of amenities, but it was the one drawback. The bathroom was large yet felt unwelcoming and could use some effort to make it cosier. I also wish the headboard had been attached to the bed. On the plus side, breakfast was excellent, the location is hard to fault, parking is great and the staff were brilliant.

We’ll stay again. The Falcon was a really lovely place to stay, with very clean, generously sized rooms and comfy beds. Breakfast was included, with a help-yourself spread of cereal, juice, jam and croissants, as well as a very nice full English. The only small niggle was the poor TV signal in the room, and it was poor in the bar too while the rugby was on. Many thanks to the staff and management.

Our cottage was impeccable, and the hotel had a lovely ambience without loud noise despite being close to all the amenities. We had a fantastic weekend for our Silver Wedding Anniversary, staying from 07.11.25 - 09.11.2025. Matt, c/o The Falcon Hotel, handled our reservation really well, and every staff member was professional, friendly and happy to help. The hotel breakfast had a great range of juices, jams, yoghurts, croissants and cereals. Our cooked breakfasts were delicious and kept us going until teatime. We’ll definitely return. Thank you! xx
