The location worked well for us, about a 20-minute walk from the station and the SPA. Check-in and checkout were easy, and leaving at 11am felt reasonable. The place was clean, with the useful extras like a kettle, hairdryer, towels, body wash, hangers, tea and coffee all provided. Staff were polite and did a good job, and we liked being able to get a great-value breakfast whenever we were ready. The atmosphere was relaxed too.

We hadn't planned to stay here, but we'll definitely be back. The rooms were clean and nice, parking was free, and the pub was amazing. Nathan deserves a special mention. We'd had a rough evening, but checking in at the lobster pot turned things around. He was cheerful, professional and friendly, and made a real difference to our stay. Whatever he earns, it can't be enough. Thanks again, Nathan. We owe you one!

The food was average pub fare and came with a hefty price tag. Since we had our dog, we had to use the dog-friendly area, but it felt like an afterthought tacked onto the side of the pub. It's a cold, single-glazed conservatory that could be made a lot warmer and more welcoming for people too.

The room itself was extremely clean and comfortable, and the facilities were very good. The pub next door was good too, so I'd consider staying again. But prices seem to vary: I paid £103 for one night, while someone else told me they got the exact same room for £68. Next time I'd contact the hotel directly and see if I could get the best price.

The food was gorgeous and the service was good. There's great parking and a play area for the kids. Dogs are welcome, though the seating area for them is small. It was a very quiet night, but we were there out of season.
