The welcome was lovely, and check-in was quick. I booked three nights over the bank holiday mod weekend, and the hotel suited the trip well. The room wasn’t big: it had a double bed, an en-suite shower with shampoo and shower gel, a desk, a small clothes-hanging area, and tea and coffee supplies. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, with the signal dipping in and out. Some areas looked shabby and could use a fresh coat of paint. I didn’t include breakfast in my stay, though it was good to know it was available. For the few nights I was there, the hotel did the job.

The breakfast was amazing, and our host worked incredibly hard to look after us. The rooms were spotlessly clean and had an amazing view, though they were a little small and could perhaps use a fresh coat of paint.

Richard was a true gentleman and nothing was too much trouble. The full English and continental breakfast were amazing. Our front room had a good view, and the service was five stars for a good price. A lovely hotel, we’ll definitely come again.

Richard was a lovely, helpful host, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the balcony room, which was very clean and had everything we needed, plus great views. We had a great stay at marine view Hotel and would definitely return.

The host was one of the most attentive and nicest people I’ve met. The location is hard to beat for the seafront, and most of Brighton’s main sights are only a short walk away, including The Lanes, The Pavilion and the shops.
