Moxy Bristol

I liked my three-night stay at the end of February 2026 and would come back. The hotel is modern and nicely decorated, and the rooms seemed recently done up. They were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning did cool the room after I pressed a few buttons, though it wasn’t blowing cold air at first. The rooms were hot, and there are only a few hangers, with no wardrobes or drawers. I didn’t eat there, but drinks were reasonably priced and there were a few decent beers and cocktails. It’s not far from town, though you have to cross quite a few roads. We parked at Circus car park and got a discount after giving reception the car registration, which helped with the total cost.

The bathroom was modern and very clean, and the room had good quality fittings. I found the mattress firm and the pillows soft, and the two lighting settings worked well. There was pounding bass from the nightclub across the road from about midnight until 2 am, but after that I slept well.

The staff were pleasant and very helpful, and the 24-hour bar is a plus. Breakfast was good, and parking came with a 30% discount. The bed was very comfortable, though the view was terrible and the bathroom compact. We stayed in winter and the heat was the one real problem. Reception was 26 degrees, and our room was a tropical 24.5. The air conditioning only works in summer, so in winter you can turn off the heat and open a window. We tried that, but the room was still 23 degrees at midnight.

The room was cleaner than standard, with a clear eye for detail. Ameer and Jack also made the stay stand out. From a business point of view, I paid close attention to the service, and it was outstanding, noticeably better than what I’ve had at many other hotels. They were professional, approachable, and consistent, which made the whole experience genuinely positive and comfortable.
