The Bristol Hotel

The Christmas party was a highlight, with amazing food and entertainment that suited the occasion so well. Breakfast the next morning had plenty of choice, from muesli, yogurt, fruit and pastries to a full fry-up. I stayed in a deluxe queen room at the Bristol Hotel for work, and it was spotless, comfortable and well laid out, with a chair and footstool that were great for relaxing. The shower was powerful, the bathroom clean, and parking next door made arrival easy. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. As an independent travel agent, I’d gladly recommend it to clients and stay again myself.

The lobby and bar have a really inviting, comfortable feel, and the whole place has a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was pristine, and the location worked well for getting into the centre. Staff were warm and professional, with service that set a high standard and made the stay thoroughly enjoyable.

The bar is lovely, with great cocktails, and breakfast had plenty of options with friendly, efficient service. On my first stay at The Bristol Hotel, the staff stood out: welcoming and professional even when they were clearly busy. The room was clean, a good size, and had nice amenities. For the quality, we thought the price was exceptionally good.

The location is excellent for town, and the parking setup worked really well. Staff were lovely, and breakfast and the breakfast room were both very nice, though at busy times you have to queue. The reception looks grand, but the rooms could use a refresh. The towels and linens were fab; the coffee machine didn’t work, the bathroom was particularly small, and there wasn’t really anywhere to hang a coat.
