No 64 Georgian House - By Clifton Short Lets

The room stayed warm thanks to an electric radiator, and there was a big shared kitchen plus a shower room and toilet. My single standard room was clean, with a comfy double bed, desk and chair, basin, mirror, clothes rail, kettle and basic crockery and cutlery. Staff were really friendly and helpful. It's on a quiet, leafy road, with shops, convenience stores, bars, cafes and restaurants under a three-minute walk away. Meter parking can get costly; the rest is residents' permit parking, as is common across central Bristol. Great value, and I'd recommend it.

The house was well organised, and the staff were friendly and quick to respond. Our room was basic but clean, and the bed was comfortable. There are good facilities, including a large sitting area with a kitchen, big windows and a high ceiling. It's a Georgian house in leafy Clifton, well placed for Park Street, the Harbour and Clifton. I'll definitely be back.

I've been staying here for five months without any real problems. Extending the stay hasn't been an issue, and the price is usually pretty good for this part of town. The place stays clean, with cleaners coming by often. I also use the discount at the local bar and restaurant quite a bit, which is a nice extra.

Terrible management. I work in construction and lodge nearby. The first time, I was charged twice, and when it happened again the following week, the money wasn't returned. Now I've booked a second time and got the wrong door code. I spent 15 minutes struggling to get in while talking to a woman on the phone, and only got through because someone from another company was entering. Then, after walking up through an extremely dirty property, I reached my room and someone told me, “Stop, stop, that's my room. I've been told to stay in it!” What a joke.
