The room was clean and breakfast was good, but the check-in was the reason for my 3-star rating. We got there at 6:30 PM and reception was shut. The host had left a key in an envelope outside, with directions to the room. It was so dark that we couldn't spot “The Barn” or tell which building was ours for about 30 minutes. I tried calling 4-5 times, both directly and through booking.com, but nobody picked up. I also sent a message on booking.com. The host called back after half an hour, so we were left waiting.

The breakfast and coffee were delicious, and the host and staff were warm and easy to talk to. After a booking mistake, we were sent to Toghill House Farm, and we're glad it worked out that way. The rooms are really comfortable and the house is amazing. It's a charming farmhouse, and the family's hospitality made the stay. If you're nearby, stay here.

We enjoyed wandering around the farm and into the woods, and breakfast was generous. We were there for a nearby wedding at Hamswell House and arrived quite late in the evening, but Laura greeted us warmly. Our room was spacious, cosy, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

The listing calls it a Bed & Breakfast, but it felt like a 5-star hotel without the price tag. The staff and facilities deliver on the promise to exceed expectations. Book with confidence, this place is seriously good. The one thing I didn't like was having to leave.

We stayed bed and breakfast in a converted barn room, which had a real farm feel. The views over the countryside are beautiful, and the location outside Bath is picturesque, with Lansdown park&ride not far away. The owners and staff are lovely and happy to help with anything. Breakfast was great and set us up for a day's outing.
