The terrace views over Brixham are hard to beat, and we even got to watch the fireworks with Hervé and Nathalie, which was such a special moment. We’ve stayed with them several times and always feel completely at home. They’re a lovely, attentive couple, and breakfast is a real gourmet treat. Already looking forward to another visit.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty to choose from and the touch you’d expect from a chef like Herve. He and Nathalie were also full of helpful local knowledge, from places to eat to walks, and made us feel very welcome throughout our three nights at Beacon House. They couldn’t do enough for us. Our first-floor room was clean and tidy, including the bathroom, and had a balcony with a table and chairs. The windows looked over the town, harbour and sea, and the garden had more lovely harbour views and outdoor seating. Having a car park was a rare bonus in Brixham.

Brixham itself is an absolute gem, and Beacon House made a great base for exploring it. Herve and Nathalie were wonderful hosts and gave us tips on the best places to visit. The breakfast was fabulous, and the location and views are hard to beat.

The breakfasts are a lovely way to start the day, with delicious choices made with real culinary skill. Hervé and Nathalie are such warm B&B hosts, and they’re happy to email restaurant suggestions or share them in the room information. Book a table ahead, especially over bank holidays. There are gorgeous harbour views from every room, plus a private car park, which is a real bonus. Booking through the main website cuts out the middleman.

We had a fabulous stay and will certainly return. The room was cosy, clean and had great views, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Herve and Nathalie were kind, attentive hosts. Thank you both.
