We hardly saw any staff, and there wasn’t really a reception, which made it feel more like an Airbnb. The hotel’s design is lovely, and the suite we booked was beautifully decorated. It had plenty of room, but nowhere near enough storage. I couldn’t unpack properly, so I ended up living out of my suitcase, which I hate.

A great spot for a staycation and exploring. We stayed in the penthouse inspired Suite at @bramahotels Bromley, with a fully equipped kitchette, Brama x Bramley toiletries and access to a private lounge. The Sunday roast with wine at @dorothyandmarshall was delicious, and they brought a nice grab and go breakfast to our suite in the morning. They’re also doing event planning, hosting and catering now. Brama Hotels | Bromley | London

We left in distress after a really stressful stay. Some staff were shockingly unkind. A female concierge blamed us when we raised the overpowering dog urine smell, and wouldn’t accept that the sofa and floor were dirty. I wiped them with a Dettol wipe, which came away black with dirt and dust. There have been MANY dogs in the library, and the smell was everywhere. When she came to smell a dog-stained rug, she told us to wait in the library while the cleaners dealt with it. The library was dusty and the sofa was dirty too. I couldn’t sleep because the disabled bed was so close to the urine-stained rug. I’m disabled, and later, when I came back to collect my belongings, she blocked access to the car Park, which really upset me. Another business’s kind male staff member let me in, even though SHE had told them not to. We had planned to stay a second week, but checked out instead. I was charged an additional 50 for my small dogs for a week, even though it’s free online. The place is not dog friendly: there are no welcome doggie signs or water bowl, and if you complain about the smell, they blame you. The staff seem to treat the cleaners like they’re separate from their team. I offered six cans of fuzzy drink to the female concierge, and she said she’d give them to the cleaners. I’d offered them to her team, so no thanks. Breakfast was the same cold selection each morning, and I was already tired of it by day two: small croissants in plastic packets, a yogurt, warm orange juice, and a random fruit. Even the butter smelled funny. The female concierge’s attitude was appalling, and when we complained about hours of building works next door, she refused to move us. I felt quite disrespected. The place was dusty, and the reed diffusers near the entrance seemed to cover up the smell. The toilet seat was loose and the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. There’s nowhere to park unless you pay for a car park, and the one-way system meant we couldn’t stop to get our cases out. There’s no restaurant or bar, just a very basic hotel. The staff are NOT dog friendly and made it seem like our fault when we raised a polite concern. The place has no happy vibe. They smile at first, then blame you for other guests’ mistakes. I wouldn’t recommend bringing your dog here.

I booked the Brama Hotel in Bromley at short notice and was pleasantly surprised. My room was spacious, spotless and nicely presented, with thoughtful touches like the tea and coffee station. The gold and green luxury décor makes the place feel stylish and high-end. It was a comfortable, enjoyable stay, much better than I’d expected from a last-minute booking.

We slept well because the hotel was so quiet. The rooms were clean, the price felt fair, and Bromley North Station was easy to get to from its location.
