Holiday Inn Birmingham Bromsgrove

For a one-night visit while my daughter was at a local competition, it was really good value. The main areas are nicely decorated, with lots of open space and seating. I enjoyed sitting by the roaring fire with a coffee, and the reception staff were especially welcoming and friendly. The room was a bit tired in places, and the air con didn’t work, though I didn’t need it in winter. The bed was comfortable, and you can swap the pillows for a different option. The food was pretty good, with a great drinks selection. For the price and a single night, there’s not much to complain about.

The outside of the hotel and the car park could use some investment. We ate dinner there one night, and while kids eat free, the food was only okay. It’s convenient, but that’s about it. Inside, the rooms are modern and good, the staff are friendly, and there are nice extras for families. The pool was good and never seemed too busy. I’d stay here again.

The site wouldn’t let me leave a review, so I came to Google instead. My wife, our child and I had an amazing stay. Tegan and Honey checked us in on Friday night and took our breakfast orders Saturday morning. I’d assumed they worked night shifts, but they’re simply a couple of hardworking people with great customer service. The hotel was clean, warm and welcoming, and only a two-minute drive from Bromsgrove proper. I’d recommend this Holiday Inn over any Premier Inn anywhere.

We’re just checking out after a great night here with the kids. We went to Cadbury World and wanted somewhere nearby that would suit them. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room were great, though the sauna unfortunately wasn’t very hot. Breakfast was really tasty. We ordered it to the room for 10am, ahead of the 11am checkout. After a small mix-up, the waitress brought us fresh coffees. It took a while, so they kindly extended checkout to 12.30pm and waived the tray charge, giving us extra time to finish eating. The value was incredible, with spacious, clean rooms and all the modern comforts you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The staff were attentive and polite, and the pool facilities make it particularly good value. If we’re in Birmingham again, we’d definitely come back. Thank you!
