The room was comfortable and had plenty going for it: good space, warmth and lighting, a comfortable bed, an excellent shower, and two side chairs, which made a nice change. We also appreciated the secure parking. The booking, confirmation and remote check-in details all arrived smoothly, and there was even someone at reception when we got there. As expected in the town centre, we heard some outdoor noise on both nights. Breakfast at the nearby coffee shop was the one drawback. There’s no reserved area for hotel guests, so finding a table could be awkward when it’s busy. We waited more than 30 minutes on the first morning, though the food was excellent once it came and the delay didn’t disrupt us that time. The menu is limited to a large or small Full English, or granola and yoghurt, and there was no granola on the second morning. We’d happily book Above again and hope they can sort out those breakfast snags.

The room felt modern and immaculate, with lovely decor, heated bathroom floors and a huge, really comfortable bed. We also made good use of the complimentary minibar, snacks, and the tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Breakfast was included, which made the stay feel especially worth the price. I wish we’d booked more nights. This was my favourite hotel stay so far, and I’ll definitely come back. Thanks!

The breakfast at the real coffee bean was really well organised, and the staff there were lovely. The room itself was a treat, from the gorgeous toiletries and huge shower to the massive, comfortable bed. Having a projector set up with Netflix and the streaming services was such a fun surprise. It’s great to see this kind of luxury in Burnley town centre. We had an amazing stay, and I’d happily recommend it and return. 10 stars!

We had everything we needed for arrival in advance, including the private parking gate code and our room code, so check-in and checkout were easy. The room was huge, and watching films on the projector from bed felt like having a cinema to ourselves. The bed was enormous and comfortable, and the room got completely dark at night. There was also a complimentary minibar, a coffee machine with some very nice coffee, a lovely overhead shower and dressing gowns. Everything was perfect. Thanks for a lovely stay, we can’t wait to return.

Our only real complaint was the noise from outside. A pub around the corner stays open until about 2am on Saturday, and the very loud music could be heard in the room. Even so, we’d be glad to stay again. The hotel is close to Burnley Mechanics theatre, has excellent secure parking, and the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Booking communication and access codes were especially clear. The room was spacious, beautifully clean and had top quality facilities, including a huge bed.
