We only stopped in for lunch, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The food was delicious and arrived without a long wait. Cameron looked after us brilliantly and made us feel welcome. The interior was very clean, including the well-kept bathrooms. We’d definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

The service was excellent, with all three staff attentive and friendly. We had birthday lunch, and both dishes arrived piping hot and cooked just right. The fish was fresh with a light batter, and the chunky chips were excellent with no greasiness. The beef burguinon pie was spot on too, full of tender beef, mushrooms, diced onion and carrots, with pastry that melted in your mouth. It came with excellent roasted root vegetables and tenderstem broccoli cooked with chilli and garlic. Highly recommended.

We turned up an hour before our booking, and the staff were accommodating enough to find us a table. Everyone was attentive, and when a waiter noticed one of our beers was flat, he replaced it without any fuss. Great service and food.

We celebrated a birthday with the family on Sunday the 1st March. There was a great choice of food and drinks, and the service was brilliant throughout. Everyone enjoyed the meal they chose. Our dog was made very welcome, and the disabled access was very good too. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to all the staff.

The deputy manager was so friendly and helpful, and the service from him was exceptional. The food was really good overall. My husband said his chicken pot pie didn’t have much chicken in it, but we’d just been to a funeral and didn’t feel like mentioning it at the time. We’ll definitely be back, and I’d really recommend the place.
