I wasn't staying at the hotel, but stopped in for an evening drink and was glad I did. The bar felt welcoming, with warm lighting and comfortable seating that wasn't cramped. It had a polished feel without making me feel out of place as a non-guest, and seemed just as suited to a casual catch-up as a special night out. Jay, the bartender, made the visit. He was friendly and attentive without hovering, asked what I liked, and made thoughtful suggestions that hit the mark. The cocktail was beautifully presented and expertly balanced, one of the best I've had in a while. His hospitality made it feel personal and memorable. Service was smooth and professional, and the bar works as a destination in its own right. I'd happily return without booking a room. If you're nearby and fancy a good drink in a comfortable, polished setting, stop in and see Jay.

The room was peaceful even though a Christmas Party was in full swing when I arrived after 10pm. The helpful reception staff put me in ground-floor room 8, and I didn't hear a thing, so don't let the functions put you off. It's a really beautiful hotel, with a well-appointed room, a very comfy bed and an amazing shower. Breakfast was excellent. I had the stupendous Eggs Benedict, though there was also a full English and plenty of other choices. Would definitely recommend.

We went to the Santa Brunch just before Christmas, and the staff and Santa himself were wonderful. They were especially accommodating with two family members who have learning disabilities and dementia. We'd had a pre-Christmas meal here before and had a marvellous time then too. Great food, decor and atmosphere.

Our Christmas wedding at the Red Hall was on Saturday 13th December, and it was gorgeous. The wedding breakfast was amazing, and everyone commented on how delicious it was. Thanks to everyone who helped make the day more special than we imagined. Danielle and Damon especially helped everything run smoothly. We'd recommend this venue for a wedding without hesitation.

The gammon steak was a highlight: perfectly cooked, full of flavour, nicely presented and a generous portion. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, so it was easy to settle in and enjoy the meal. My room was nicely furnished, spotless and had everything I needed for a comfortable night. It felt welcoming and well cared for, and I slept peacefully without interruptions. Great value for money. I'd happily stay again and recommend it.
