Everything came out promptly and with a smile at The Crown & Punchbowl. The chicken and leek pie was hearty and full of flavour, served over greens. My fish and chips were spot on, with perfectly cooked fish and a great crunch, and I liked the branded paper it came on. We started with spinach bonbons, which were a delicious and unusual way to begin. Highly recommend for well-executed gastropub classics.

I’d driven past loads of times without stopping for a meal, but I’ll definitely return now. There’s a good spread of food for different budgets. I was going to have steak, then switched at the last minute to the burger and saved a few pounds. Great call, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had. Please keep it on the specials menu! The tangy orange and chocolate dessert was incredible too, and the service was great.

Carly was incredible. She was attentive, friendly and helped us make changes to our meal, and her customer service made us feel so welcome. Lovely experience, especially the service. We’ll definitely be back because of her.

Lunch has been a pleasure both times we've eaten here this year, 2026. We were seated in the bright, airy conservatory, the food was tasty and fairly priced, and the service was friendly and prompt. I couldn't find anything to fault. That's been true at the other CamsCuisine locations too.

Hash's advice to take the bus into Cambridge was spot on, and the stop is right outside the pub. He really went out of his way to help us make the most of our two-night break. The room was lovely, though a few patches could use fresh paint. Food was warmer and better than at the 3 horse shoes, which had unfortunately had a boiler failure before we arrived. We'd happily come back.
