The two days we spent at The Poets House gave our friends and family a celebration they won’t forget. The place feels like a peaceful little escape, and the setting, food, and thoughtful touches all worked so well together. We were overwhelmed by how much care went into the day. Christine, Sara, and the whole team made us feel like family from the start of planning our wedding. They supported us throughout and kept bringing warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. There were lovely surprises all the way through, and everything felt beautiful and magical. Thank you all for making our wedding so memorable.

The Christmas atmosphere was so cosy and festive, just right for getting the family together. We all left full, happy, and in the Christmas spirit. The food from the Christmas menu was delicious and beautifully prepared, and the service felt warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A lovely lunch, highly recommended.

We had a small, romantic wedding at the Poets House in October 2025. Sara and the team did so much to make the day special. It’s a great wedding venue, with wonderful staff. Thanks to Sara and everyone, you were amazing 👏

We popped in as a birthday treat for my partner. Lovely views with a glass of champagne and a snack, and the staff were really friendly. One small bit of feedback: the latte was tepid. We also asked three times for water, speaking to two members of staff. It wasn’t busy, and it was a simple thing that would have helped us.

The roast was generous, beautifully cooked, and really enjoyable. We went to Poets House today on a recommendation and were pleasantly surprised by the dining room, elegant but relaxed, with plenty of space. We could talk without needing to repeat ourselves, which is a rare pleasure. The staff were polite and attentive, friendly while still professional. Even the hot plates made a difference, since the food stayed warm. I’d recommend it for a Sunday roast in a welcoming, refined setting, and I’ll be back.
