Met here for lunch, though I didn’t stay, and the pub itself is beautiful with a big garden. The restaurant staff were excellent. Unfortunately, some dishes didn’t match their descriptions and felt more like style than substance. I shared that privately with management, and they responded positively.

We used to come here years ago and had forgotten what a nice place it is. The old building sits in a peaceful spot, with plenty of seats inside and a great beer garden. There’s a good food selection, nicely cooked and fairly priced, with great service. Cambridge and the M11 junction are both not far away.

Dinner on 13th February was a real letdown. The portions were small and the food bland, the drinks order was wrong, our food was dropped on the floor, and the bill was too high. I won’t be going back.

I went in around 5:30pm last week, when the pub and restaurant were almost empty. I bought a beer, sat down, and planned to order food and another drink. But when I asked for a menu, they said they couldn’t fit me in because they were “too busy.” I was on my own, and there were clearly empty tables inside, as well as space in the beer garden. Very poor customer service. If it were my pub, I’d have tried to make room for a customer.
