The continental breakfast had a good selection and was served to the table. We also tried the full English one morning, which was delicious and worth the extra cost. There was a good tea and coffee tray too. The room was clean and nicely arranged, with a hot, powerful shower. Lovely hotel in a brilliant spot beside the cathedral. Highly recommend.

The room was clean and cosy, and I was very happy with my stay. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and accommodating, and the continental breakfast was delicious. The Cathedral is literally next door, so it’s perfect for a visit. Pick an upper room if you want a view of the Cathedral, since buildings otherwise block it.

The street-facing room stayed quiet on both Monday and Tuesday nights. Breakfast was included in the reasonable price, and we’d definitely stay again. This amazing Grade II listed building sits in front of the cathedral and has loads of historic charm. The maze of stairs and corridors can make it easy to get lost between your room and breakfast, and you even have to cross the roof past a terrace with a cathedral view.

My family had a great stay last summer. The room was small but very clean, and breakfast impressed us. What really stood out was the impeccable customer service, second to none. Our international cellular plan was out for almost the whole visit, so we relied a lot on the lovely lady at the desk for recommendations and directions. She never let us down. Book here, you won’t regret it. 😊

This isn’t a perfect or five-star place, but it’s full of charm and good value for its location and for how much the team does to make a stay happy. I’d return without hesitation. The owner and staff put real effort into making guests comfortable in this super old 1400's hotel. Expect hilariously wonky floors and a fast-filling bath in Room Serenity, with incredible water pressure that filled a hot bath in 90 seconds. The employees seem to love their jobs and proudly recommend good restaurants and historic gems around their city.
