Debbie and the staff were friendly, polite and helpful, and the food was excellent. My partner and I had a fantastic four day stay at the Evenhill, and our dog loved it too. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the bathroom was nice with a powerful shower, and the bed was very comfortable. The countryside views from the windows were beautiful. I’d definitely recommend it.

There’s a pub and restaurant on site, which was handy if we arrived hungry or thirsty. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made especially for us as vegans. The staff were all really friendly, and the room was clean and tidy with tea, coffee and biscuits. There was plenty of room for our Siberian husky, plus a lovely outdoor area. It’s only a 10 minute drive from the city centre. We’d definitely stay again, hopefully soon.

Debbie and Caroline gave brilliant service, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The air con was a bonus, the shower was lovely, the towels clean and the bed comfortable. The cod and chips were very tasty, and it was great value for money. A very good stopover, only 10 minutes from canturbery.

Debbie and all the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly, and the meals were so yummy. I loved having air con in the room, and the beds were really comfortable. It was a lovely hotel and stay. If I could, I’d eat here all the time. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone wanting a room, a meal, or both. Thank you xxx

The old pub is fascinating inside, as it used to be six cottages. We stayed a couple of nights while visiting Canterbury, about a 10 minute drive away. The rooms are in a separate block set back from the road, with plenty of parking. There’s a little road noise, but otherwise it was very quiet, including the in room air con. Our room had a nice corner bath, waterfall shower and even an iron. USB ports in the bedside lamps were a nice touch. A bigger desk would be useful if you’re working, though I wasn’t. Dinner was good but a little slow, and some unavailable dishes limited the options for people who don’t eat meat. Breakfast was a freshly cooked buffet with a good variety.
